A lunchtime picnic and play reading of a contemporary Japanese play, offering a glimpse
of Japanese theater today. Bring your lunch and enjoy a rare theatrical treat directed
by Guest Director Tara Rodman, a scholar in Japanese theater from Chicago. Off Square
Theatre Company presents three staged readings each year as part of the Page-to-Stage
Series. The Jackson Hole Fire Festival reading will feature the contemporary Japanese
play Farewell to Huckleberry translated into English.  The reading will be followed by a Q&A with the cast, a cultural representative from the Fire Festival, and the director. The reading will be held on the lawn at the Center for the Arts and is recommended for kids ages 9+. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket and lunch for this family friendly event.
